The Samaritans 5K Run/Walk and Family Fun Festival!
It was a great day to be alive!
The 15th annual Samaritans 5K Run/Walk and Family Fun Festival held on Saturday, September 28, 2013 was a great success! Over 3,000 people flocked to Artesani Park in Brighton, MA to raise awareness for Samaritans and celebrate life. Thanks to everyone who participated in the Samaritans 5K Run/Walk this year, and to the thousands of supporters who generated much-needed funds for suicide prevention! If you would still like to donate in support of a 5K Team or individual participant, it's not too late. Simply click on the "Donate" button below.
Samaritans is a locally based non-profit organization, and all of the proceeds generated from the 5K stay right here in Massachusetts and fund our life-saving services, including our 24/7 helplines, Community Education and Outreach, and Grief Support Services for those who have lost a loved one to suicide. These vital services are available to the families, friends and neighbors that live in our community, free of charge. We are the only suicide prevention walk in the Commonwealth that provides financial support to the 24/7 crisis lines answered by Samaritans, including those calls we answer from the National Suicide Prevention Lifeline.
